"I am a fiber artist, painter and photographer. Hand-made garments are my canvas. For me, they represent the feminine spirit. Color, texture and form are the most important elements in my art.
For this work of art: The physicality of action painting makes it intriguing, even in this technology rich environment. Jackson Pollack experienced and shared the technique that involved the whole body. As a fiber artist, I create paper garments as my primary medium. For me, paper has a spiritual nature. Like the human spirit, paper is easily torn yet never destroyed. This small dress is made of mulberry paper and silk that I painted. It is my canvas and inspiration."
